my perfect day would be dressing up in a new dress, going to a park with friends and family, having a lovely picnic and hiking to a water fall, then going to a reenactment together and talking about what we are learning from the Lord in the evening around a camp fire.

A perfect day ---- sitting on the ocean shore, soaking in the sunshine and listening to the waves as they rock the shore --- then off to a favorite tea room for an authentic "afternoon tea".

I have already had my perfect day. It was Thanksgiving 2007. Wes and I decided to forego the usual big family Thanksgiving and spend it at home with our children alone. I know most people would think that is not good. It wasnt because of any animosity, just wanted to have our kids together.
Our fireplace had just been completed in the new house, and we built our first fire, Caleb was outside working along side Wes, while the girls and I fixed Thanksgiving dinner, everything from scratch.
It was a wonderful fun meal and afterwards Caleb and Kaci sat on the hearth talking like old friends about their futures.
It was our final holiday with Caleb and I am so grateful that God granted it to us without the distractions of our large extended families.
It was a great and special day.

My perfect day would be a snowy day that I could spend curled up on the couch next to the window reading one of my (many) favorite books. A cup of mint hot chocolate or apple cider would also be welcome.

My perfect day would be finding out I won something on January 5th - which just happens to be my birthday!! =) Kidding aside though, I'd really just enjoy a day with my kids and husband in some lovely not-too-hot-and-not-too-cold weather. A picnic outside and a new baby nearby (soon to be born baby #4 is eagerly anticipated!).

My perfect day would be vacationing somewhere with my husband and children in Silver Falls, OR where we can do a little hiking, look at waterfalls, pile in to a cabin together, and eat a campfire breakfast. These are the things of which memories are made.

My idea of a perfect day would be spending time with my husband of thirty one years in a lovely little log cabin in front of a huge stone fireplace watching a fire crackle and burn. I would love to have a nice comfy sofa to be able to share with him. <3

Lovely bag! Would come in handy for the commute to work!
My perfect day would be spent quilting and shopping with friends, with maybe a side trip to a quilt show. I've had a couple of days like this, and they are wonderful! Lots of giggles, smiles and sewing!

I love that bag and so want to get me some velveteen to work with! That will happen when my studio remodel is complete. My idea of a perfect day begins with waking around 6, coffee and breakfast with my DH, walking around our little burg for 30 - 45 minutes, then spending the rest of the day between the computer and the quilting or sewing machines. Supper in the crock pot that hubby and I eat together at the end of the day, a little TV and hand work and off to bed. My "Retirement Dream Life"!
