A few months ago, Paps bought Abigail this lovely bright red pleather. And the raincoat is a commercial-pattern-with-Abi-alterations, which can be a bit tricky to replicate.

Abigail most definitely sings-- all she needs now is the rain. (And perhaps a polka dot umbrella!)
We don't have the luxery of a rain coat!! :D We just pull on our regular coats and get drenched...

I love it! Looks so pretty and it actually reminds me of My Fair Lady for some reason. I don't think Audrey wore a red coat but it must have been a similar style. Very pretty indeed! Red is my absolute favorite color!

This really cute! Is the pleather hard to sew with? Is it lined?

Thank you everyone for the compliments!!! love- Abigail
hi Jessica,
Thanks so much for writing! Actually, the pleather wasn't that hard to sew with at all! I just needed to help it along, especially through the lots-of-layer areas. Lined? hmmm. Well, yes and no. I only lined the front, that way my pockets were hidden and if the wind blew my coat open just a little you'd still see that charming red. :) If you ever get the wild urge to sew with pleather, I would suggest that you don't try button holes on your almost-finished project! :) It pulls (and tears!) really bad. I used large snaps as my closures (which work really grand!)... and, of course, I had to put big, red buttons on! :) (The large snaps can be purchased at JoAnn fabrics.)
Thanks again for writing Jessica! May The Lord bless you with a lovely evening!
xo,
Abigail

These are great sandals, although it took a few days to break them in, which is not unusual for any shoe. I think it is one of the nicer looking MBTs.
