spring + voile= one beautiful day

A couple weeks ago Abiah (the best photographer a girl ever had!) grabbed Abigail and Achaia for a fun, springy photo shoot.  It also proved a good time to enjoy the lovely weather!  So... here's a peek while we're all thinking about a beautiful day....

Those pictures are beautiful! I love how they turned out. I too, love photography! My favorite pictures is probably the 4th one down--I love the blue sky!

I've been reading your blog for a while now, and I love it! I also love the long skirts you wear. We only wear skirts, and I love them the longer and fuller they are! The bright colors you use also are wonderful! :-D

I read your old post about making a braided rug and started one myself with all of our scrap fabric. I've started sewing it together and found that it's more difficult than I thought.... Anyway, thanks for showing how!

I love the pics. The dress that Achaia is wearing reminds me of my days working at Laura Ashley many years ago. I loved those feminine floral dresses. They made me feel pretty and girly. So very springy.

I LOVE the pictures! Abiah is a wonderful photographer! I wish I was as good... I love both Abigail's and Achaia outfits. Especially Abigail's. :) Well I have a tower of clothes to be packed before I leave on vacation!

Hello Elizabeth!

I used a vintage '70s pattern for my dress (with a few alterations). Here's a link to one that I found on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/36581512/vintage-70s-bohemian-v-neck-dress-or-top?ref=sr_gallery_3&ga_search_query=mccalls+4028&ga_search_type=all&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title. They have some other sizes available if you just search Etsy for McCalls 4028. I just didn't add a ruffle, shortened the sleeves to make it 3/4 sleeve length, and added a small triangular piece for an inset. I love it!!
