A perfect day ---- sitting on the ocean shore, soaking in the sunshine and listening to the waves as they rock the shore --- then off to a favorite tea room for an authentic "afternoon tea".

I have already had my perfect day. It was Thanksgiving 2007. Wes and I decided to forego the usual big family Thanksgiving and spend it at home with our children alone. I know most people would think that is not good. It wasnt because of any animosity, just wanted to have our kids together.
Our fireplace had just been completed in the new house, and we built our first fire, Caleb was outside working along side Wes, while the girls and I fixed Thanksgiving dinner, everything from scratch.
It was a wonderful fun meal and afterwards Caleb and Kaci sat on the hearth talking like old friends about their futures.
It was our final holiday with Caleb and I am so grateful that God granted it to us without the distractions of our large extended families.
It was a great and special day.

I love that bag and so want to get me some velveteen to work with! That will happen when my studio remodel is complete. My idea of a perfect day begins with waking around 6, coffee and breakfast with my DH, walking around our little burg for 30 - 45 minutes, then spending the rest of the day between the computer and the quilting or sewing machines. Supper in the crock pot that hubby and I eat together at the end of the day, a little TV and hand work and off to bed. My "Retirement Dream Life"!

Hmmm. Perfect day? I have lots of ideas. A cabin on a crisp fall (not cold winter) day, a fire in the fireplace, a comfy couch, and a pile of good books. Or a beach house with waves crashing, gentle breezes, a hammock, and a pile of good books. Or a quiet corner of the house, a chaise lounge, a space heater, a quilt, and a pile of good books. I think there's a pattern here! (Thanks! Would love to win this bag!)

My perfect day would start off reading the Bible with my husband and talking about what we read, then making breakfast together, sitting outside with some of my bunnies running around and reading the paper or a good book for an hour.....then working on writing my book for a few hours, then working for an hour or 2 in my craft room making gifts and bunny things, and then preparing dinner together with my husband and sitting down to eat together. After dinner we would clean up together, then watch something fun on tv...do a few chores to make the next morning easy, and go to bed together.
