My love for vintage was going to come out again. And, thanks to my best friend, Ashley, it got to come out sooner rather than later! You see, through Ash I found this great site that specializes in vintage clothes!! So, I promptly used some of my spending money to buy this great (real) Jessica McClintock's Gunne Sax skirt from the 70s and this adorable 50s cashmere sweater (I love it too!!). They came in the mail about 1 1/2 days before we were leaving for Houston and I chose to wear this skirt one day at Market.
What I thought was so great was that several ladies came up to me when I was there, saying something like, "I had a skirt just like that in 1973!", or "That's a gunne sax skirt, isn't it??". Too great! Even though I can't exactly pinpoint my favorite era for vintage clothes, the 1970s definitely holds some of my affections because it reminds me of my Mom growing up (she would have completely worn this skirt!), and all the cute outfits she tells us about that she wore.
So, yes, I am very happy! In fact, I was dancing around out there. Which isn't very surprising, since I dance whenever possible.
Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving counting your blessings (that's what I'll be doing too)!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!! Be safe and enjoy every moment making memories.
(You were definitely giving off that 70's vibe in your skirt at Market. :) It made me remember going off to college with multiple Gunne Sux outfits in my suitcase.)

Ok now I feel officially OLD. Those were all the rage in the early 80's too. I remember wanting one so bad.

Goody for you!! My sister and I both have Gunne Sax dresses, both given to us by different people. I'm still waiting to grow into mine (my older sis has snuck in a wear for her B-day.) I must say the Jessica McClintock has great style!!
The skirt is completely your type! I thought at first that you had made it! :D
Super cute!!
