Our friend is so grown up now, and she's still adorable. When Faith and some of her family came over for a fun day she also went fabric shopping. Faith has become quite the seamstress, and we were so excited when she sent us these pictures modeling her latest sewing project!!
Faith used the tropical island print for this dress and also took home a piece of this dot fabric for a shirtdress. We can't wait to see how it turns out!

PS... Our computer's planning to go to the shop tomorrow, so if you don't hear from us right away that's why. Hopefully we'll be up and running again soon! xx
A few things I am hoping you will answer....
>> Are your patterns easy to use for beginner seamstresses? I mean, I literally just started sewing again in the Fall, and have only been sewing at lessons. Would they be extremley difficult to follow? Which patterns from your MM Studio would be the easiest to use for beginner seamstresses?
>> Also, could you show a recent pic of your sewing room again? You have some old(er) ones on the blog; I'd like to see a recent one. I am trying to get inspiration for my own sewing room, and no matter how messy, I'd love to see it :) (p.s. I can relate to messy sewing rooms! It's life!)
>> More giveaways and TUTORIALS, please! ;)

Hi Natalie!
Thanks so much for writing!! We would be happy to answer your questions... if anymore come to mind, be sure to shoot them our way.
Almost all of our patterns are welcoming to beginner seamstresses – especially the little girls skirt patterns. If you can sew a straight line, and put in an invisible zipper a simple street fair skirt would be easy too! Our biggest recommendation would be to start out with the emerson skirt pattern, as it’s probably the simplest in our pattern line.
Thanks for mentioning what you would like to see on our blog! We will definitely put them to good use... we’ll plan on posting pictures of our sewing studio soon!
Have a wonderful day, Natalie! xox the Long ladies
