Buttoned Up.

We all love sewing (surprise), and sewing for little girls is extra fun!  Thankfully, we're blessed to have some lovely little girls in our lives.  They also happen to be cousins, and their mommies also like to dress them alike.  So, we like to sew for them.

And, cooler weather is coming (saaaaddd), so the girls could use something a bit more fallish.  Enter a long sleeve amelia dress + an ana claire jumper + Sweet Things fabric.  We are always so impressed with Lakehouse's black prints... they are amazingly saturated, and wash & wear so well too.

And, don't forget happy buttons!  We recently had the pleasure of learning about Fastenation Studio.  Hannah's just as cute and sweet as her buttons.  We sent her a swatch of the outfit fabrics, and Hannah custom made the buttons to match!  Don't they look perfect??  All of Hannah's buttons are handmade with high quality polymer clay and double glazed.  They are amazing.  

Some of our favorite buttons in Hannah's shop are the bunnies, baseballs, red, white & blue, and sew swirly.  The buttons came so quickly too!

Hannah also makes these darling hair bow clips!  We just pinned them onto the front of the girls jumpers for now.  We can't wait to see them in their little wispy hair!

Kristie (Mom) really gets the credit for making these darling jumpers.  She loves to bless other people's lives, and sewing for little girls is her favorite thing to do.  We think it must be the 20+ years experience.  We can't wait to give the girls their outfits (hopefully this weekend)!

The cutest little zip pouches ever!

We were super thrilled to receive an email from one of our customers with this gorgeous photo attached.  Carrie had purchased some of the Sugar Hill and Delilah fabrics from our shop (now in the $6-a-yard section!) to create these fabulous little zipping pouches for a Mother Daughter Tea.  Have you ever seen anything so adorable?!  (To tell the truth, we were just a tiny bit jealous.  We all wanted one too.)  Check out more of Carrie's lovely work over here.  (We have our eyes on the oilcloth zipping totes!)

No-Sew Christmas Gift Guide -- Under $25

If you're anything like us, you probably didn't expect Christmas shopping time to get here so quickly.  We are just now trying to get our act together and pick out something special to give everyone.  In fact, tomorrow is shopping day!  So, in honor of that, we decided to give you all some gift ideas we love --- all under $25. 6. Organic Lip Balm ~you can never have too many lip products, we are sure of it.

So sorry we were quiet all last week.  We had out of state company for 4 days, and then a good friend over all day Friday.  We want to say a huge thank you to those who ordered from us last week during our sale, and for your patience with your orders being processed.  We're getting to everything as soon as we can!

Wrap Yourself in Ribbon (or Fabric, if you wish)

Ribbon, ribbon, ribbon!  We love it, and think that you can use it for just about anything.  We bought lots of it, and now are passing on the goodness to you!  Our sale room is filled to the brim with yummy pre-cuts in a rainbow of colors and combinations.  You can choose from grosgrain or satin.  There are also different sizes included in each one (be sure to read the descriptions!), and quantities are limited.  Abiah and Achaia had lots of fun naming all of the palettes -- we name everything. 

Our Nashville Cottons are now diced up and bundled in our sale room too, and for a fabulous price!!  The Nashville Cotton Company went out of business a while ago, so if you love their fabrics here's one of the last opportunties to get your hands on them.  Also, we've priced them all at $4 per yard, which is a fantastic price, and way below retail.  Go see all the bundles here!!

We want to extend a huge hug and thank you to everyone who took the time to leave their kind words of sympathy for the loss of our Nana.  We have been so blessed by you all.

For Christmas this year, we wanted to find a really special gift for mom.  (Because she is so special, of course.)  When we found our dear family friend, Julie, on Etsy last year, we knew exactly what we wanted... some of her beautiful Temari embroidered balls.  They are so gorgeous and creative!  And Julie made them especially for mom, in some of her favorite colors.  (They came packaged in the cutest-ever Chinese take-out boxes.)

A very merry scrappy grab bag!

Something to talk about.

 
We hope you've all had a wonderful week.  Between the happy scrappy quilt giveaway, custom sewing (for Christmas, you know), little chic sisters apron inquiries, and filling fabric orders (thank you!), we've been busy-lizzy around here.  We haven't even put up our Christmas tree, yet!  (Not that trees are what Christmas is all about -- but we do enjoy them!)

Anyway, before we tell you what that trip was all about, there were a few other little things we wanted to let you in on...

~The summer shade jumper can now be found in our store.  (Ladies sizes 2-10 or 12-18)
